Not again

There’s something about work that gets to me and I haven’t been able to fix. A couple of years ago, I was on the verge of collapsing due to working too much and resting too little. It was, of course, my fault; having 3 jobs was not going to be sustainable in the long term.

Now, something similar is surfacing. One job, studies on the side, and the feeling that I’m falling sleep during the day, or that I do not have energy to perform as I would like. So what is going on? Is it time to go back to the planning board? Adjusting my eating habits, exercise, sleep, caffeine, screen time, and whatever else? Or are these the symptoms of a lifestyle that does not suit me at all?

I wonder how people can cope with this and even higher loads of work, and if it is something that we should train and adjust for, or a signal that something is actually not working.

Are we destined to be the burnout society?
